Oil Pastel Paintings
I developed this style in 2014 after my band, Aisle of View, broke up and I became homeless. I had some of my older Acrylic paintings lying around and an unopened box of Crayola Oil Pastels. I began to draw with the pastels over the old acrylic pieces to discover that the pastel medium has an interesting reaction to the initial layer. This made it seem the lines I was drawing were weaving in and out of existence. This gives all of these pieces an "extra" dimension. The Mod Pog gives the final piece a stain-glass like look. All of these can be backlit if you are into that sort of thing. These pieces do remarkable things with moving lights behind them. You can have prints of these for $25. Keep in mind, print quality varies as not all printers are made the same. Originals? Those are for sale as well. Currently, they are stored in Kansas City at a friend's house. If you want an original, I would have to employ the help of my friend in order to get the piece mailed to you. Keep that in mind, as well as the fact I live off of $5 a day when you decide to shoot me an offer. I am looking to sell these works from the $100's to the $1,000's so I can get my life back together and get back into painting again. I am only homeless because folks tend to lowball me for my work. I had people offer $50 for these before without paying any mind that the blank canvases often cost $20 and these works can take several days to create. Much love!
